We are on the grid for the first JWC season

Bank Angle Sports holds one of the ten founding seats in the Jet World Championship. We will be on the grid for the opening round in Doha on 24 February 2029.

We are entering two Competition Units. Each one is a jet, a pilot and a gamer, and they stay together for all fourteen rounds: the Gulf, then Asia, the Americas and Europe, and finally Miami in November.

"The first move in any fight is the bank. That is where the name comes from. It is also how we plan to fight," the team said. Pilot and gamer announcements follow in the next few months.

We picked the Albatros

Our jet for 2029 is the Aero L-39 Albatros. JWC rules allow one aircraft type per team per season, so this was not a small decision. It decides which type ratings our pilots need, and how fast the crew can get both jets ready between Saturday qualifying and the Sunday Grand Battle.

The L-39 is a two-seat jet trainer. Thousands were built, and air forces on four continents still fly them, so parts are easy to find and so are engineers who know the type. We will run two in black and red, plus a spare. The choice becomes official when season registration closes.

Four seats, four announcements

This season there are twenty JWC pilots and twenty JWC gamers in the whole world. Four of them fly for us. We will name them one at a time, on this page first.
